After upgrading this week and changing form using ifup to knetworkmanager for network control the simple weather plasmoid doesn't display the weather (just a circle of balls) when kde starts. If I click on the plasmoid's settings and then ok the weather will show.
I'm thinking the problem is due from where in the boot process my dsl connection is made (during boot vrs load of kde) but the plasmoid should still find the connection even if it's not there when it first loads. Obvious solution would be to revert back to ifup but is there an other way? thanks, |

This is a bug in the Plasmoid itself, since it should wait until Solid signals that the network is up before attempting network operations. Does the weather ( LCD ) plasmoid behave correctly?

yes, the lcd plasmoid displays correctly (but is not as functional). I posted the problem on the kde-look page of the plasmoid |
