KDE 4.3 system tray background colour

Sat Nov 21, 2009 12:08 am
Hi gents !

In kde 4.3 the default theme is very nice (the one with the grey-ish taskbar). However, it's a problem for the system tray, because it's hard for me to notice well the state of a few system tray icons, namely the kopete icon when blinking, and the sound volume icon, when flipping the mouse wheel over it.
So, is there a way to customize the background colour ?

The only way to do that is to change the theme...

One thing you might like to try. First, in Desktop Settings, change your theme to Customized. Then, SystemSettings > Advanced tab > Desktop Theme Details then experiment with any settings that look as though they may affect the panel constituents. There's no really obvious one, but maybe widget background? Dunno. You'll have to experiment - and it's easy to get back to your current theme if it doesn't work.
