Hi,
I have been KDE user a long time now, but KDE4 is rather new to me. I have some problems with the panel widget "Task Manager". Maybe there is an alternative, or maybe I can change the settings so it won't be that annoying to me anymore. 1. I prefer to work on multiple desktops. The Task Manager widget always displays ALL of the running tasks on all desktops, which makes it a hassle to get where you want. How to turn off that behavior? 2. The Task Manager widget uses extended tool tops (balloons) with absolutely no value to me. How can I turn that off? |

right click on an empty space of the task manager and choose [taskmanager settings] to open the settings window of the taskmanager.

Alternatively you can click on the 'cashew' (yellow icon to the right in the panel when your widgets are unlocked) and the right-click anywhere on the widget.
If you want a more advanced task manager, I recommend Smooth Tasks. (The default task widget, however, has the features you ask for).

I apparently have never tried to click on the Task Mananger when it was not full of tasks (the gap between the tasks won't work)
