Hi,
I'm starting using KDE, and I experiment à problem: I like to have a panel at the top of the screen where I put my favorite apps so I can launch them quickly. I try also to arrange them: so I drop some icons dealing with system configuration, then I put a spacer, then icons of applications dealing with internet, then a spacer and so on. Here is the trouble: when I restart the computer, all icons are messing, moving all around. I try to lock the spacers, I try to also lock the panel but it doesn't prevent icons to be reordered when kde (? or system? or i don't know what) start. Does anyone knows how to solve this problem so I can have all my icons in the right order whenever I restart my computer. Thanks. ps: sorry for the poor quality of my english. |

This also happens to me with KDE 4.3 but seems to be solved in KDE 4.4 Beta 1.

Its probably the spacer acting up. I removed all of the spacers on my panel and since then it works properly. Just a little crammed.

I have used a task manager rather than a spacer to space my icons and they have stayed in place. Don't know what effect this will have if you already have a task manager in another panel.

I don't use spacers.
