OK, so my Folder View widget defaults to home folder . . .
but I can change that with the Folder View settings to make the Desktop Folder - or any other folder for that matter - the plasma workspace on all multiple desktops - all very cool compared to the MS Windows "traditional" desktop. My desktop folder will get pretty full with all my folders and files . . . so it is definitely nicer that this plasma view is smaller . . . about one-quarter of the desktop and it can be moved around. But . . . Is there a way to make this plasma folder "widget" even a smaller size overall on the desktop . . . as I'll scroll to get at all the files in it anyway. I have only seen an icon size change bar . . . so far. Thank you very much. |

Icon size change bar? Do you mean the bar that pops up on the side of the widget if you hover the pointer over the widget (when widgets are unlocked)? If so, the top square can be used to resize the widget.

And if you use that to make the folderview smaller, once you can only see part of the folder's content you will get a scrollbar to access the rest. I keep two folderviews on my desktop, and since I can't spare too much space, each one displays a single column of four folders. I scroll for anything else.

Sorry, my bad for the confusion but I had tried to be brief. I had went into the config "wrench" (third choice from top) at the side of the Plasma Folder . . . . . . and got something like below - with the icon size bar. ________________________________________________________________________ Folder View Settings Display Label |_______________________| Icon Settings Icon size Small ----------------------|_|------------Large ________________________________________________________________________
How - exactly ? That top square doesn't seem to do anything much with either a left- or right-click. |
