Hello all. I'm a new KDE user and I'm loving it! But I have a question about including google gadgets as widgets on the desktop. Specifically I want to install a google task widget. Google doesn't produce it's task manager as a gadget, but rather as an igadget (or whatever) for their iGoogle pages. It seems like there's a way to get the task manager as a widget, but I'm rather unaware when it comes to KDE. So my questions are, is it possible? and does anyone know of a good tutorial?

You may be able to use the Web Slice widget to show iGoogle widgets.

i was able to add a google task desktop widget (KDE 4.7) by:
1) right click in the bottom taskbar 2) add widgets 3) click the get new widgets button (far right) 4) search for google task 5) install the one called "google/gmail tasks" the project is here: http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=140790 it works great!! |
