Hi everybody,
I was testing out the Smooth Tasks plasmoid, which uses libtaskmanager as a "backend" in order to handle the windows, groups and everything related with that. After trying the different window grouping and sorting methods, I came across something I quite not understand: does the window grouping feature "by name", group by the name of the program class? It seems the most likely to me, but that brings me to my next question, which I believe it's a bug: This mostly happens with IM programs such as Pidgin or emesene. Whenever I deliberately open a window in order to IM somebody, the window gets correctly grouped, as long as Pidgin or Emesene are visible (if they are minimized to tray this doesn't happen). However, if somebody chats me and I was in another desktop, the window is not correctly grouped, no matter what I do. The only way I found for it to get inside the group, is to open by myself another IM window, so the group gets "aware" that there are windows to add to itself, and so the previous window gets added to. Sorry if I haven't made myself very clear, I typed this in a hurry :-P Thanks in advance GODLiKE.- |
