What happened to the Windows List Applet, and where can I get it with apt-get or Synaptic?
I just installed Kubuntu 9.10, and there seems to be no way to display the contents of all the open desktops. I use 20 desktops, and it is a real handicap not to be able to display their contents all at once. I have been using KDE for about 13 years on various Linux distros. I can't imagine why this vital applet would be missing in the latest. |

I still have it here in 4.4.1 (KDEMod). Do you have kdeplasma-addons installed?

It should be there (I know I have it). Although as an alternative, you could use "mouse actions" instead / in combination with when you've found the widget again... Personally, I find the mouse action method far more convenient but YMMV.

I still have it as well. It hasn't been removed by upstream KDE, at any rate.

Ok, I found it under plasma-widgit-windowlist.
But another annoying thing. After I added it to a panel. I found that I couldn't move it to another place on the panel. That used to be easy. Thanks anyway. |
