i'm running kde 4.4 on an x86_64 FC12 box with an nvidia quadro NVS 440 & the latest proprietary nvidia driver (195.36.24). there are four displays combined into one large screen via xinerama (no twinview pairs). each physical screen gets its own cashew and panels i create can't be stretched across physical screen boundaries. is that by design? and, if so, any plans to remove that restriction?

It is by design that panels are limited to one particular screen, and this restriction is not intended to be removed by the Plasma team at any time.

This is done to avoid instability and corner-case bugs caused by stretching across multiple screens.
