It is not possible to remove any tabs ( or hide them ) in Kickoff as far as I am aware, nor is it possible to add items to the Computer tab ( only Run Command / System Settings, and storage media are listed there )

So the openSUSE team has modify the source and recompile it to add YaST and System Information to the Computer menu? if so, how can I reompile only the kickoff to add custom settings?

Recompiling is not enough to change anything. You can modify the sources, and then recompile / reinstall. You can find the sources in KDE's SVN, in workspace/plasma/.

Hi,
Talking about the KickOff Computer tab: I've set up Kubuntu on several computers (two desktops, one laptop and one virtual machine using VirtualBox), and I've an issue on one of them (my desktop). On the Computer tab, the shortcut to KPackageKit just doesn't appear. I can see it on the others computers, but I couldn't find a way to get it back on mine. How can I do? Blue Duck |
