Hello there,

Any chance to switch back to the classic file transfer window(s)?
I'm not happy with the new 'Notifications and job' approach. I prefer to see a separate window for each file transfer I did. This worked in KDE 4.4.
I removed the notification icon from systray: the notif from kopete are displayed as pop-up which is what I want but for the file transfer I got no notification windows and no file transfer notif at all :-(.

Any idea?

Thanks.

Did you try unchecking "File transfers and other jobs" in the notifications settings (found by right-clicking on the notifications icon)?

Of course I tried this. With "File transfers and other jobs" unchecked I have no notifications at all: a quiet copy for example.

I upgraded form 4.4.4 to 4.5RC2 then RC3 and the file transfer windows were Ok. Unfortunately the KDE desktop crashed. After that I removed ~./kde then restarted. Now my file transfer windows are in /dev/null ;-) .

I created a new user and start a clean kde session. Same behavior - no file transfer windows.

Right click on the notifications applet > Notifications Settings. Ensure "File transfers and other notices" is unchecked, then logout and back in again for it to fully apply.
