Are these known bugs? Please comment:
1. "Unlock Widgets" no longer allows widgets to be moved. 2. System Tray partially hidden behind other widgets. 3. Monochrome System Tray icons are ugly and cannot be changed back to what they were in KDE 4.4.X. I can supply a screenshot. Where do I post it? |

Not seeing #1 or #2 here in PCLinuxOS KDE 2010.07.

It is likely that your widgets are indeed locked. Please click "Unlock Widgets". I have no idea why the System Tray appears to be partially hidden though. For the monochrome icons, changing Plasma themes will fix the issue.

I did click "Unlock Widgets". It doesn't work. That's one of the things I am complaining about. I will try removing my Plasma configuration.
Removed all Plasma config files, logged out and logged back in. Lost configuration, including panels. Once I re-added panels, clicking on "Unlock Widgets" still does not allow widgets to be moved. Also, adding "Hardware Temperature" to the Panel causes Plasma to crash. What do I use to change Plasma themes? Where is this documented? You mean, like this? In my OpenSUSE it is /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/default/icons/

In PCLinuxOS 2010 (fully upgraded), we can delete/move the icons in the following place to get the 'old' icons back:
/usr/share/apps/desktoptheme/default/icons/ Maybe too in other distro's, so try it (didn't try it myself - I do like the monochrome icons; but if I were you, I would safely MOVE the icons to another place...... - so you can revert your changes if it hasn't the expected result)
using PCLinuxOS 2010.7 KDE Version

I've merged your posts. Please do not repeat post. Edit the last post and add the newer information instead. |

For moving items in the panel, you need to open the Panel configuration bar ( click the Panel's Cashew ) then you should be able to move them.

I see, thanks. I don't think it worked the same way in 4.4.X. That's one of the reasons for my original post. |

I am pretty sure it did.
