Newly installed widgets don't show.

Wed Sep 08, 2010 11:23 pm
When I try to "add widgets" and then "get more widgets", I can install them from the internet without issue. They say they are installed but then they are nowhere to be found! Is there some sort of overall control point for which (and where) widgets are installed?

I have the same problem in 4.5.x, and manually installing *.plasmoid files doesn't work either. However, there's a workaround:
1. Download the scripted plasmoid.
2. Unpack the file with e.g. ark.
3. Run the following command
Code: Select all
plasmapkg -i foo

where foo is the name of the unpacked directory/folder (and not the .plasmoid file).

EDIT: Here's a bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=249980
