I am having a hard time finding words to describe it, so I took a picture to help get my point across: http://i53.tinypic.com/24njxqg.jpg
While yes, I use Kubuntu, it is not specific to that. I tried out openSUSE's KDE version and I still got a similar problem. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, did you find a solution? Thanks ahead of time for the help. |

Which version of KDE are you using?
Which Desktop Effects do you have enabled? ( if you have Blur or Lanzcos filter enabled, disable them ) Which graphics driver are you using?

1. 4.4.2 2. From what I can tell, neither of those effects are on, nor do I have them available to me. 3. I am using the latest, stable, proprietary nVidia driver. Prior to installing said driver, this problem still occurred. |

If you:
1) change your desktop theme or 2) login as a different user is the same glitch present? |

Eh. I don't know what happened, but I restarted it just as a last resort, and it seems to have fixed itself. For now, I'm marking this threat as solved because there seems to be no problems now.
Thanks for responding. It's difficult to get responses sometimes. |
