new install of mandriva 2010.1 and the desktop icons are huge. how do i
set them to a smaller size? didn't see it in 'configure your desktop' and didn't show up in googling. (kde 4.4) thanks, BabaG |

you can change the icon size in "folder view settings." you get that by right-clicking on a folder widget or, if you've set your desktop itself to "folder view," by right-clicking on the desktop itself. under those folder view settings there's one called "display," which allows you to change the size.

thanks for the reply phani00.
on mandriva 2010.1 here. in mandriva i found it in: configure your desktop--->look and feel--->appearance--->icons--->advanced there's a setting there for icon size for things like toolbars, desktop, etc. thanks again, BabaG |

oh, _those_ icons you were asking about; i thought you meant the other ones, all over the desktop--because in my case those always are too big to start with, while the taskbar icons usually have the right size. good that you found it anyway...
