I'm using KDE 4.5.1 on my Arch Linux x86_64 (Qt 4.6.3). I really like Lancelot, but there are some issues, I've noticed:
[0] Recent documents can't be opened trough lancelot menu. I don't remember this issue in kde 4.4.x. There is a full list of last used documents, but when I click on one of them(still exist, same path - same name) lancelot get closed and nothing happens. [1] No glide effect, instead of slide? I've enabled glide effect for opening and closing windows. But lancelot still uses this sliding effect when I open and close it. [2] Is there a way to disable this fancy following selector? In Air theme there is only one selector and everything is fine as well. But in glassified there are two: Static and following. [Screenshot]. I'm pointing at Kate at this screenshot, but the fancy selector it's not there yet. Don't get me wrong...this following selector is fast(it was hard do make such a screenshot, going from systemsettings to firefox, over and over again), but I prefer the static one, only. Is there a way to be disabled this following thing? [3] Terminate applications in search panel doesn't work. I've set "damn" as my trigger word for terminate search, but "damn firefox" doesn't seems to work... [4] When shortcut is used for opening the menu, lancelot appears at the center of my screen. I don't thing this as a serious issue...it may be even a feature, so it could be created some sort of option for this. But this sliding effects is breaking when lancelot is in the center. I mean it appears from the center, like is the edge of screen and it's hiding the same way. By the way...if gliding effect could be used, this issue gets fixed |

[0] Seems something got broken, I'll fix it. If you can, I'd much appreciate it if you'd report it to bugs.kde.org
[1] Lancelot is not a normal window, it behaves like all plasma popups [2] No there is not. 1. Complain to the theme author. 2. To disable the animation (the rectangle will be still shown), open .kde/share/config/lancelotrc and under [Animation] section enter the following itemViewBackgroundAnimation=false (hmh, I don't remember, maybe in your version, it is in [Main] section) [3] Works for me for the default keyword, I'll check whether it works with a custom one. If not, that can be considered a KRunner bug. [4] If you want it to appear where the applet is, you need to right-click on the applet => lancelot launcher setting => keyboard shortcut - and set it there Cheerio! |

[0] I'm sorry I didn't report the bug in bugs.kde.org, I've just wasn't sure if this is not fixed, yet. Here is my bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=253346
[1] Oh, I've didn't noticed that all plasma popups uses the same effect. My bad. [2] Great! Appending the line itemViewBackgroundAnimation=false in [Main] section(I have no [Animation] at all) resolved my issue. Now I only have one selector, and that is just I've wanted to be. [3] I forgot to mention. Terminate application works fine as well in krunner [4] Strange...I thought it doesn't matter from which place I set the shortcut. Fixed now. Thanks a lot for your help! |

[3] It seems that when the runner is used in /outside/ apps, it still uses the old config... I'll have to check that out.
[4] Well, one is the shortcut settings for the applet, and one for the menu. It is a bit unfortunate, but necessary. |

Ok, so basically most of the issues with lancelot, was my misunderstanding of how the things works and just two little bugs([0] and may be [3]). I'm sure you're going to fix them as fast as you can(like always).
Thanks a lot for your help, it was really helpful to me |

Glad to help.
BTW, the fixes will most probably not be in 4.5.x, but in 4.6. |
