question about desktop folder
greeting people. I have a small problem that I have not managed to solve, and ask for help. I updated latest KDE version 4.5.1 and everything is working well for now but I noticed that I no longer have ability to watch files under folder on the desktop in popup mode that show contennt inside directories (on mouse over)(I think it's plasma widget folder view) so i can see what's in the folder and I do not have to be open. I hope you know what I am talking about:) .. i really miss that thanks in advance |

This feature was changed for 4.5. When you put your mouse over a folder, 2 icons appear on the left. The "+" button selects the folder, while the up arrow show the contents of the folder (what you are looking for, I think).
This was implemented for 4.5 because the popups were a serious interference for many people, so it was felt that having to click the icon was a lot less of a hassle for people who wanted the popup then the popup was for people who didn't. Plasma developers have said they would accept a patch to make this behavior configurable for 4.6, but they may not have time to implement it themselves.

It is already implemented by the plasma devs: http://aseigo.blogspot.com/2010/09/15-minutes-of-fame-screencast.html |

I have the same problem and think it's related to your workspace theme. Switching to the default theme (Air) makes the up arrow visible.
