I set the file watcher plasmoid to watch a file that cron updates every 15 minutes, but the file watcher hasn't updated for several hours now. Is this a bug, or should I set some update interval somewhere?

Has the file content changed? Try touching the file to change it.
Code: Select all
touch /path/to/file

The script does

echo foo > file
touch file

so it should be obviously updated...

I tested this on Trunk, and it works without any issues at all, updating instantly.

Which version of KDE are you using? ( and which graphics driver? )

Arch Linux, so should be the newest release:

$ pacman -Qi kdebase-plasma
Name : kdebase-plasma
Version : 4.5.2-1
...

It's a Macbook 5.2, using the xf86-video-intel driver.

Unfortunately I don't know why it doesn't work, it may have been fixed in trunk and the fix not backported however.
