Setting default resolution

Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:06 pm
Hi,

Working with Plasma-4.4.5.

I'd like to have resolution automatically set to 1024x768 on VGA and DVI disabled when the user logs in.

In order to achieve that I created a script in ~/.kde4/Autostart:
#!/bin/bash
xrandr --output DVI1 --off && xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1024x768
sleep 5
plasma-desktop

(By default system enables dispaly on DVI with 1280x1024, VGA is disabled)

Is there a way to set this to be default without using a script?

Thank you
