Hi everyone,

I'm running the lastest developer openSuse 11.4 release (milestone 5) with KDE 4.6 beta 2.

I've noticed that when I put the main panel vertically on the left side of the screen, the running applications become tiles in the panel, without text. A bit like in OS X and Unity.

The question: is this functionality also available when the panel horizontal?
(And if not, where could I request it?)

It seems to me, that when running a lot of applications, just having big icons is as useful in a horizontal panel as it is on a vertical one.

you might wish to look at alternative taskbars - either fancy tasks or smooth tasks. Both are available in the extra repo
