Hi everyone, I'm an Italian user with Arch Linux x86_64 and KDE 4.6.

I've installed gmail-plasmoid, but once I shutdown and startup the system, the plasmoid doesn't remember the passwords of my gmail accounts.

I've looked into kwalletmanager and the passwords are stored, but it seems that the plasmoid can't load them.

In the past I used Kubuntu 10.04 (with older KDE version) and it worked. Is there a way to resolve this issue now?
Thanks... ;)

First, ensure you haven't blocked the GMail applet from retrieving information from KWallet. This can be done in System Settings > Account Details > KDE Wallet > Access Control. It may also be known as "Plasma Desktop".

Otherwise, you will either need to edit the applet's code, or contact it's maintainer to get it fixed.

Plasma Desktop is on "allow always".

What? So, is it a problem of gmail-plsmoid?
It worked with KDE older versions. What's changed in the newer to cause this issue?

Thanks... :)

It appears so. To rule out the possibility of bad configurations causing this, please create a new user and try and reproduce there.

Ok, this is definitely a regression in the interaction between KDE and the GMail applet. Please inform the maintainer of GMail applet so they can contact the relevant KDE component maintainers to diagnose the issue.
