I am using KDE 4.5.3 on Mepis 11 beta 2. I use 1 activity per virtual desktop and I use the kwin desktop cube with translucency set at 75%. Recently a ghost image has appeared behind desktop number 1. The ghost turns my blue wallpaper greenish and there are folderview like icons that appear like broken links.

I have looked through the configuration file and as much as I understand it, I can not find the extra containment.

The first 4 images are my 4 virtual desktops as normal, the fifth is my cube and the sixth is a close-up of the ghost.

No ideas?

Open the activity switcher and stop the activity/ies that are not running on your four desktops.

there are no activities defined accept the main 4, one for each desktop.

What is the output of:

in Konsole?

I'm going to close this thread. I re imaged my system with a new Mepis beta and the problem has not reappeared.
