Hi,
I have a copy of the Oxford dictionary which I run using WINE. If I open its directory in Dolphin (even using the quick access browser) and click on the executable, it runs fine. If I create a shortcut to the same executable in Kmenu, I get the WINE error "Uncaught exception / Called from App.hx line 56 / Called from neko/io/File.hx line 50 / [file_open,oed.t]". Is there a way I can get Kmenu to just open the file the same way that Dolphin does? Cheers, Aston

Can you please post the Menu Editor view of the shortcut? It may need altering....

Cheers for offering to look at it but I copied the directory from my desktop, and the Kmenu shortcut to that one works for some reason.
By the way, has anyone else noticed that if you create a shortcut in Kmenu, edit it, give it a shortcut key, then save it, the shortcut key always fails to save until you close and re-open the Kmenu editor to enter and save it again? |

The 2nd item is probably a bug, I suggest reporting it at bugs.kde.org.
Very unusual that the launcher works from the desktop but not the menu...have you set the working directory in the menu editor?
