Hi ! (sorry for my bad english)

after I have got this problem after 4.6.2 upgrade, I delete "plasma-desktop-appletsrc" as I already do before for the issue.

But, for this time, I have got a new problem =>



I can see two desktop (or activities) on the same screen !! If I click in a biggest desktop, the small disappear ! but it come back on next login... in my 4 desktop !

I have got this problem on quadcore computer (see my signature) with KDE SC 4.6.2 (update from kubuntu backports ppa). NVIDIA driver => 260.19.06

I have got 4 desktop in 1 activities.

the problem come with new plasma configuration.

Try for this time (without succes) =>

- delete plasma config files
- delete activitymanagerrc
- delete plasma folder (in $HOME/.kde/share/apps)
- delete kde.cache
- remove panel and all plasmoids for have got desktop only
- add activities
- edit "plasma-desktop-appletsrc" and remove some Containments
- copy/paste saving plasma config
- disable kwin effects

without success....

- 2 nvidia 8600 GT
- screen 1 (lcd screen)=> nvidia 8600 gt 1
- screen 2 (TV LCD) => nvidia 8600 gt 2
separate x screen (xinerama off)

for my main user =>

openbox activate. I desactivate it but kde don't activate this screen

for new user

kde activate this screen. I can see a wallpaper and add plasmoid.
But windows haven't got decoration !

"ViewIds" problem ?

now I have got 4 desktops and 2 activities. I can again 2 desktops in desktop4 on screen1 and plasma not activate on screen2.

I would suggest moving the relevant Plasma configuration files (plasma*) out of the way with Plasma not running to see if resetting it fixes the issue.
