Howto tweak themes?

kdebase-4.6.2-1.fc15.x86_64

I like slim glow theme, but the panel is almost black. I'd like a dark blue. How can I tweak this?

As best as I know the only thing you can do is to find and install a theme with a blue colored panel and then use that theme's panel with slim glow. See this tutorial http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdebase-w ... tml#custom

The theme's files are located in /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/slim-glow
Copy these to ~/.kde[4]/share/apps/desktoptheme/slim-glow
From there, the panel's image file is widgets/panel-background.svgz, which is a compressed vector image file, you can open it in inkscape or karbon and edit the different components.

See http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tut ... asma/Theme for more information
