KPackageKit Plasma Icons

Mon Jul 11, 2011 8:37 am
Hi Everyone i got a question... i have a kpackagekit icon by default in kde but plasma don't use it...
here is the icon i have in "/usr/share/kde4/desktoptheme/default/icons" i also copy it to "~/.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme/default/icons"
this is the icon:
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-v45s ... ekit2.jpeg
but i still see this icon everytime:
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-qFPv ... gekit.jpeg
can i make plasma use the plasma icon from theme ? :-\ is not a big problem but i can change every icon but this and i notice that this icon was here since i install kde.
i'm using kde 4.6.5 with kubuntu 11.04
... with 4.6.4 and 4.6.2 was the same :D
thanks :P

I think the problem is that KPackageKit does not use the system tray protocol, hence it can't use the monochrome icons. I may, however, be completely wrong :)

The next (yet unreleased) version of KPackageKit, named Apper, supports the new protocol and has monochrome icons (the ones mentioned here, most likely).
