I'm using the Timer plasmoid as a widget in a Panel (KDE 4.6.2 on Kubuntu 11.04). It does almost everything I need, but I'm missing a certain minor feature which I would like to suggest to its maintainer. Unfortunately, the GUI gives no clues as to who the author/maintainer might be, and there's no online help for this plasmoid. Did the widget come with Kubuntu? Is it a part of KDE 4.6? Was it contributed by a shy third party developer? ;)
The feature request, just in case the autor or maintainer is reading this forum, is to add a way to reset the timer to 0. The current reset option always sets the timer back to the last entered duration, but there's no way to set it to zero. This would be useful for people who use the Timer widget to see at a glance "how much time have I got left?". If there is currently no reason to have a timeout, the timer should display 00:00 (or --:-- or similar). I'm currently working around this by setting a 1 second timer and letting it run out. A secondary feature request would be to make the author/maintainer of the plasmoid visible from the GUI. |

You should either use the KDE Brainstorm (available here) or place a wishlist to bugs.kde.org, assuming the Timer plasmoid is one of the standard widgets supplied with KDE.
