False Task Manager Highlighting

Sat Jul 30, 2011 12:00 pm
Hey Folks,

since my upgrade from KDE 4.6 to 4.7 my Task Manager behaves weird. If I hover over an entry with the mouse with (or without) clicking it, it will start to blink and get highlighted. It happens as soon as I move the pointer away from the task manager entry. See the following picture of how it looks like:

Hovering on it again and the highlighting will vanish until I remove the pointer again.

It happens every time with Kopete, Akregator and KWallet. Early this day it even happend with Firefox but stopped there now. Changing the Theme as well as removing the existing Task Manager and replacing it with a new one was of no use.
I tried google and the forum search but couldn't find any solution.

I hope, someone can help me with this, as it bugs me to no end.

EDIT: I first thought it could be some kind of notification setting, but in Akregator every Notification is disabled.

It's a known bug, IIRC. I think I saw a message about it on the development mailing list yesterday or today.

Oh, thanks for the info. I will wait for a fix then.
