Dear developers,

In KDE 4.7 I seem to have lost the ability to show the day of the week in the system tray.

For what it's worth, I almost always know what year it is and I almost never know what day of the week it is.

Please re-consider your decision to remove that option.

Thank you.

in digital clock settings -> appearance -> date format -> long date
if that's too small to read or not exactly what you wish click the wrench -> date and time -> edit either the long or short format save then select

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x

Wow!! That worked!

Hadn't realized that the long or short date formats were editable.
Hovering over either entry field brings up valid commands.
Making an edit and clicking Apply does not change anything until you re-start the desktop.

Thank you.
