has anyone else encountered this phenomena?
i have one panel at the bottom of the screen (which holds the taskmanager widget) and two hidden panels (one hidden on the left side and one on the right side of the screen) moving the mouse to the left edge shows the left panel (it smoothly slides out) but WTF? the taskmanager items slide to the right side too.. (exactly one taskitem to the right) i can undo this by showing the left panel again... i may have found a workaround ... adding a "spacer" made it impossible to reproduce this behaviour (for now) (althought the items flicker like they were still trying to move )

This sounds like a bug in the Plasma Task Manager, as showing another panel should not cause that. Can you please file a bug at bugs.kde.org if you are using KDE 4.7?

this is so annoying ... a hidden panel still moves the taskmanager items (sometimes) .. it does not matter where the hidden panel is (top, left, right, bottom)

it seems that sorting of taskmanager items turned off makes the problem disappear for god ...

Interesting. Can you search on bugs.kde.org to see if a similar report exists and if so add this workaround to it to help other users?
