Lately I've been frequently switching to plasma-desktop when using an external monitor with my netbook, and I've also customized some apps to start with an unmaximized window.
Then suddenly my plasma-netbook got cross it seems and began denying me its feature of integrating application title bars into the panel. Can someone please tell me how I can make up with my beloved plasma-netbook? Luckily, I still have the menu integration, but I'm afraid I might also lose it soon if I don't do something to make up |

Look in the file ~/.kde4/share/config/kwinrc (might be .kde instead of .kde4) and see if you can find the line
If not, add it to the [Windows] section. Log out, log in again, and you should have your desired behavior back.

Opened the file ~/.kde/share/config/kwinrc with Kate.
Changed the value of BorderlessMaximizedWindows (I wonder who changed it behind my back) from false to true. Restarted. Voila! Thank you so much Hans |

PS. I've found the culprit for this
The method of toggling plasma desktop and netbook workpaces I've adopted from the thread viewtopic.php?f=67&t=96864 apparently has been changing my screen as require but the actual setting in System Settings/Workspace Behaviour/Workspace has been kept in Desktop mode even when I switched to Netbook workspace in that way. Therefore I need some fine-tuning in toggling workspaces. |
