Hi all,

Brand new to the forum!!

I have Compiz working wonderfully in KDE 4.6 and use the beam effect for opening and closing windows. This effect is also applied to plasma widgets. Can anyone tell me how to exclude Plasma widgets from the compiz effect so that when I open and close them they follow the default behavior and slide from the panel like drawers??

Any help is much appreciated!!

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

Try to exclude the window class qt-subapplication plasma-desktop from the effect.

Thanks for the welcome and the reply!

That didn't work, however after playing around some more with the default window matches I found that altering the first part of the line that starts with:
Code: Select all
((type=Normal | Unknown)

and removing:
Code: Select all
 | Unknown

did the trick.

Thanks anyway. :)
