I have problems with widgets in KDE, when I install a new one (for example CPUFreq) and place it somewhere on desktop or panel, it just says that "Couldn't create a a python ScriptEngine for the CPUFreq Utility widget".
I have read that I should install package kdebindings-python, but I don't know how. Until now everything what I installed was through Software center, this one isn't in Software center when I'm looking for it. Or is there a better way how to see my processor frequency in tray or on desktop and how can I configure frequency? I am looking something like this is in gnome: http://img101.mytextgraphics.com/photol ... eq163l.png Thank you in advance. (I hope I didn't break any rules when I have openede two topics with two problems) |

if you search for cpu freq on this page you'll get some alternative plasmoids that will help with setting & displaying cpu frequencies http://kde-look.org/content/search.php

Thanks, plasma-scriptengine-python works but now there is another error: "Could not open the plasma-cpufreq package required for the Cpu Frequency Selector Widget."
and error with another widget from your list: Could not create a ruby-script ScriptEngine for the Cpu Frequency Selector Ruby Widget I am lost. What am I missing? |

try installing ruby-qt4 package also the hosting page http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?co ... orumpage=0 says ""sudo chmod +s /usr/bin/cpufreq-set" Requires KDE 4.2, cpufreq-utils and cpufreq modules"
try posting on http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?co ... forumpage=, maybe the dev will respond or maybe it's no longer supported as not updated since Mat 2010 |
