Hello,
I'm new with KDE 4.7 (well... I'm actually new with KDE) that I have installed on a eeepc 1000H with LMDE.
I like SAL but as desktop it doesn't offer the plasma (with the exception of a small area at bottom).
I've tried with plasma netbook, where I can have that Page1 to put all the plasmoid I want to add, but I do not like at all to have the application windows maximized.

Any suggestion either to avoid maximized windows with "netbook" or to have page1 on "desktop"?

thanks

Do the reverse of what's written here, i.e., change to BorderlessMaximizedWindows=false in ~/.kde4/share/config/kwinrc (might be .kde instead).

or to have page1 on "desktop"?

Not sure since I haven't used Plasma Netbook, but see if the Newspaper Layout is what you want if you right click on the desktop -> Desktop Settings -> Layout.
