hi all i just moved to KDE from Gnome(Mint11) and dont like Ubuntu's Unity
.anyway my question is about the "fancy panel" this seems to me to be very similar to the panel on macs, but the problem is i cant get it to show all of my running apps... can it even do that? i have a few things stuck to it like i want, but i also would like it to show any app i have running like other task managers. again i would like it to be as similar to a mac as i can get it. thank you |

Task managers usually have an option to show just apps on the current desktop or all desktops. Fancy Tasks has a filter for that on the general settings screen. Is that set correctly?

Sorry, not sure about that one. I only use it as a launcher not task manager. I have noticed something similar with the standard task manager, for some applications the task entry is slow to disappear. Amarok is one that often does it.

Right click on empty Fancy Panel area - Fancy Tasks Settings - Arrangement (on the left) - you are looking for the action "tasks area". You can influence its behaviour in the General (left) tab.
