Pager row height bug

Fri Dec 09, 2011 4:51 pm
Hi guys,

Running KDE 4.7.3 the pager seems buggy. Generally it works well except if you set it to single row.

Initial single row setting works to set all desktops in a single row on the task manager. This allows you to switch across all desktops back and worth on a horizontal line.

When you logout and log back in, you will see all desktops within the pager on the same horizontal line, except when you go to switch through them, the last set (if you had 4 it would be 2, 6 would be 3) of desktops act (when switching) like they're a row below.

So an example would be:

[d1] [d2] [d3]
[d4] [d5] [d6]

On initial configuration to set those all in a single row, the panel looks like:

[d1] [d2] [d3] [d4] [d5] [d6]

And when you switch through them it acts like:

[d1] <-> [d2] <-> [d3] <-> [d4] <-> [d5] <-> [d6]

However, after logging out and back in again you still see:

Code: Select all
[d1] [d2] [d3] [d4] [d5] [d6]

But when you switch though them it's now:

Code: Select all
[d1] <-> [d2] <-> [d3]
 ^         ^        ^
 |         |        |
 v         v        v
[d4] <-> [d5] <-> [d6]

So switching behaviour appears as if there are two rows of desktops even though there is only a single row displayed.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
