1) Click the panel toolbox (the "cashew" furthest to the right in the panel), then More Settings. Then you can select Lock Widgets. Alternatively click desktop toolbox (top right of the screen) and select Lock Widgets.

2) By pages I assume you mean activities? Click the Activities icon (three small colored circles) next to the Start Menu icon to the right in the panel. You should see a small spanner icon in the lower right corner of each activity. Click that and enter a better name in the text field.

Hope this helps.

Ps. userbase is written by users. If a page is out of date, someone needs to add the relevant information or at least alert the userbase maintainers of the problem. That someone could be you :-)

If you don't feel comfortable editing pages then just leave a message on the Talk page.

Hi Claus, thanks for the quick answer

I m sorry but I am a little bit confused about what you mean. I am using the netbook edition, hence I think that things are little bit different.
It looks a bit like this
http://kde.org/workspaces/plasmanetbook/screenshots/pages.png

With Pages I meant the different Pages that I can select (Look at the top left o the picture:On my computer, I got the default one "Search and Browse" than two customed ones : "Page one" and "Page 2", I am not sure it is the same things as activities)

My page one has a "newspaper" layout. If i click on the cashew, i find a "Lock Page" icon that lock the page (also that's okay)

But for the page two, she has a "Desktop layout" and when I click on the cashew, there is no Lock Page

I didn't realize the notebook edition looked that different.

As far as I can see, you have a desktop toolbox ("cashew") in the lower left corner. You should be able to open activities from that as well.

Btw. If you would consider providing info about how this edition differs from the "regular" ones, we would be happy to include it on UserBase :-)

As to the Page thing: There is a Search and Launch widget, and the images of netbook editions I have seen uses that instead of the "normal" desktop widget. When I open this widget it look very different from your image, but I guess it is highly configurable. It also seems to have its own toolbox (in which case my comment above may be mistaken). Pages may be part of the Search and Launch widget.

If what you have is a specially configured Search and Launch widget, maybe the Kubuntu website has some info about it.

You can change the page names by editing
~/.kde/share/config/plasma-netbook-appletsrc
There you can find lines like this:
activity=Page one
Just replace the names and relogin.

I couldn't find any graphical tool to do this.

Hi, in the same file that Bluephobos mentioned there's also an option called 'immutability'. With that one I think you can block the page, 'immutability=2' should do it, whereas the value 1 unblocks it. Maybe block is not the right word, it won't let you change the page anymore (not even delete it) unless you set it back to 1 in this file, then it should be like before. You'll have to go back to this file and re-login every time you want to modify the page again.
Be careful, check that you are modifying the page you want, make sure that it says 'Page one' in the activity field in case that's the page you want to change.
