Is this the simplest way to move a particular window from one activity to another:

  • right click the title bar > Activities menu > add the new activity you want it to appear in
  • right click the title bar again > Activities menu > uncheck the current activity

I'm not aware of any one-step method to move a window to a different activity, nor any keyboard-only or mouse-drag methods.

Thanks - Joe

KDE 4.7.3, Kubuntu 11.10

I find I need to do this quite often, because Firefox windows nearly always reopen all on the same activity after a restart, regardless of which activity they were on before. Sometimes even Dolphin windows all open on the same activity (normal they remember the activity).

And a related question, are there any method to force all applications opens in all activities by default?

I think what's needed is support in System Settings > Window Behaviour > Window Rules for activity association for windows.

Do bugs and brainstorm entries get the same attention from the same developer teams?

Good question, suggest you ask it in discussions where it might be seen and answered by a dev. My guess (not being a dev) is that though user interest matters, the deciding factor is developer interest and time availability as most developers contribute in their free time.

Yes, this is exactly the feature I need.

And there is nothing to demonstrate, if developers can't see for themselves why this feature is requested I'm loosing my time.
