Hi,

this may seem a silly question, but I googled around and could not find the answer: how do I save an activity?

Let's say I have a task that I need to do every now and then. I created an activity for it, spent some minutes selecting the plasmoids that are useful for this task, have some apps associated with it etc. I do my task and then go back to my "normal activity".

I know that if I close my activity, I will lose the state the apps were in, but I don't mind it, I already finished my task. So I go on and close it.

Some days latter, I need to do this task again, so I have to create this activity (the plasmoids that I want, apps etc) all again.

Is there a way of saving the activity that I create as a template? There is already the possibility to create a new activity from one of the default templates ("Photos", "Search & Launch" etc). How do I add my custom made activities as templates to this list?

These templates are basically a Javascript file which uses Desktop Scripting to create the activity and a .desktop file needed for them to appear in the menu. You could have a look at the existing templates to create new ones.

The .desktop file can also mandate a series of applications to be launched the first time you create the activity.
