Firstly sorry for my English .
I imagine, that virtual desktop are tasks. So it's good idea to connect some places(for ex. trashcan with information about on with desktop the file was created, removed, etc. ). We can have additional button contained by trash bulb - "show files removed in that desktop" or "show files removed in that activity". And dolphin can show show files connected to that task on top of file list. The list of that files should have special background(for ex. green) and the file should also be contained in normal list. Maybe better is to make special place, called "files included to that task/project"? In my opinion it's a great usability helper, because we can think about a file, that is connected to some task(virtual desktop). I have other idea(probably not connected with tags and I Should to make other thread to describe it), to connect plasma with virtual desktop. We have special plasma container, which shows different content on different virtual desktop. For ex. we put Folder Views with different paths to any desktop. Other think is to put inside that container notes plasma applets, to describe task we do on current desktop. We can also integrate any possible plasmoid with that mechanism. Good think is to make Folder View which finds any files created on current Virtual Desktop and other Folder View to enable us to create link to any files to the current desktop. Imagine, we have one desktop called "internet", other "work" and other "funny". Next we tell, that plasma show us bookmarks on the internet, documents on the works and programs://grames(I noticed, that programs:// don't work) in the same place. We only swap to other desktop and we have actions we often do on this desktop on the same Folder View or on another Folder View applet, but in the same position. We can example remove hollyday.jpg on the funny desktop and next get it from trashcan on the same desktop. We can also select option "show all removed files" from the trashcan bulbs on other desktops, but swap to funny desktops and look inside funny trashcan doesn't faster? Thanks . I have hope, I have put my message to correct category. Maybe if I have find some time, I was code some of my idea.

One containment ("Plasma desktop") per virtual desktop is coming (not sure if it'll be present in 4.2).
I didn't quite understand the rest, but maybe you're trying to describe something like this?

If It really depends on Virtual Desktop.
But it's great to have Dolphin and Folder View integrate with it. We can look which files we create on which desktop. We can also look which files we removed on which context. And of course notes should be integrated with it. Topic is solved.

Good to hear. Please add [SOLVED] to the thread subject (by editing your first post). Yes, it'll really be one "desktop" per virtual desktop. That way you can also have different wallpapers on each virtual desktop, a feature many miss from KDE3.

Lachu:
Well your idea is about bringing Plasma Activitys together with Nepomuk Contexts. There has be some planing on it on the nepomuk-kde mallinglist together with the Plasma devs. It sounds exactly like what you are proposing. So things like that are already planed with the help of Nepomuk, but there is not ETA for it yet. But for sure not before KDE 4.3.
