Splitter in Plasma Applet

Mon Jun 22, 2009 7:29 pm
Hi,
I'm trying to write simple plasmoid and use splitter. I managed to do this using only Qt classes (QTreeView, QTextEdit, QVBoxLayout and so on). Works fine.

constructor:
Code: Select all
layout = new QVBoxLayout;
lineedit = new QLineEdit;
treeview = new QTreeView;
layout->addWidget(lineedit);
layout->addWidget(treeview);
tempwidget = new QWidget;
tempwidget->setLayout(layout);

splitter = new QSplitter;
textedit = new QTextEdit;
splitter->addWidget(tempwidget);
splitter->addWidget(textedit);         // splitter is the main widget

I it possible to use splitter for plasma classes ? (Plasma::TreeView, ...) and for QGraphicsLinearLayouts?

Unfortunately I do not know if a native QGraphicsView method is available for splitters. However you can use QWidgets on QGraphicsView I believe.

You should be able to find more detailed help in #plasma on Freenode or at plasma-devel@kde.org which is the Plasma development mailing list.
