Hello, I want to create (actually, port from one of Windows 7 themes) a Plasma theme, but I have a questions:
1. Are there any brief tutorial about creating themes for plasma? 2. I opened KDE panel background svgz file and discovered some strange green squares... For what they are? 3. Are there any guidelines like in gnome for creating graphics? I mean, icons, logos, etc.? And, finally, you need to hire some good designers |

I recommend you ask in #plasma on Freenode as they will likely be more familiar with the process of creating a Plasma theme.

Start Konversation. The defaults will almost certainly work out of the box for you. then type '/join #plasma' in the input line and you will see a tab open up for the channel.

I'm also starting to make a Plasma and Aurorae theme. As far as I understand, those green squares are nothing more than an empty objects used as placeholders for hints, like hint-tile-center, hint-stretch-borders etc. They won't be displayed, but will affect the appearance of other objects. |
