Hi. I'm using Compiz in Gnome Fallback mode in Ubuntu 12.04. Strangely, Kmymoney is the only application that I use that doesn't have window decoration. It never has the buttons along the top and the title menu, and sometimes it even goes on top of the gnome bar. I have tested my setup with other qt/KDE applications that I use, including Kbackup which I use every day, and none of them have this same problem. Any idea why this might be happening?
Here are some screenshots: 1) No title bar (constant) ![]() 2) No gnome bar (happens haphazardly but very frequently) ![]() |

Can you start the application from a terminal and post the resulting log?
Perhaps we can infere something from there.

Nothing seems to be odd in the log.
The KXMLGUI::ActionList::plug error should not be there, but it shouldn't interfere with the window decoration, which, btw, is out of KMM's control. I assume this is a stock package, not built from source, correct?

I am using the package in the Ubuntu 12.04 repo. I figured it might be due to compiz, since AFAIK KDE doesn't use compiz for window decoration, but Kbackup works just fine, as do the other KDE applications that I occasionally use. I do not have the KDE compatibility compiz plugin enabled but when I did enable it I saw no difference. |

Can you reproduce this under a new user?

Unfortunately, yes. I created a new user and he showed the same behavior. I also deleted the .kde directory in my user's home and it still showed the same behavior. |

So, do you have any other ideas?

KDevelop seems to suffer from similar issues under gnome. I think someone should go complain to the gnome guys.
I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

Oh well, kinda figured. Given the cr*p that the gnome team has been churning out lately, I'm not surprised. |
