Any KMM users on Mac OS X Lion out there?

There are currently some problems with KMM on Mac OS X distributed through MacPorts (http://www.macports.org/ports.php?by=name&substr=kmymoney4)...

KMM's latest release version is broken due to MacPorts' use of the latest Qt 4.8, but the development version works fine - at least for me on Snow Leopard. Lion users seem to be unable to successfully run the application... :(

Is there any KMM user out there running Lion? If so, I'd appreciate to get into touch with you! :)

It is quite an old post so it may not be useful but I reply anyway.

I may not be very available but I'm a happy user of KMyMoney on MacOSX Lion. So in case you need some testing, just PM me.

Hi Oripy,

in the meantime there is the Lion buildbot up and running for MacPorts so that I know that it builds fine there.

Great that you also can use it! Are you using kmymoney4-devel or kmymoney4?

Please let me know if you meet any peculiarities on your end. (I have found at least one annoying thing when it comes to editing of transactions: under certain conditions it is impossible to edit transactions. It looks as if KDE 4.8 introduced this back then when coming from 4.7.x!) :-(

I am using the kmymoney4 macport, but I always wonder what is the real difference in stability between the -devel and normal option. What makes you choose one version as "stable" ?

I have also came across the problems where I can't edit a transaction (keyboard does not seems to work on the edit fields. It is quite annoying and I wasn't able to exactly point at the cause of this. As soon as I can reproduce this bug without any doubt, I will post a bug report.

KMyMoney on Mac is getting better and better with every releases! I remember the time when the app crashed when trying to make some graphs and when the date field causes the app to hang for few seconds after each changes! Thank you for your work!

OK, I see. Good to know that I'm not alone with those symptoms, especially since they're so annoying. I am restarting KMM quite often because of it... :-|

But, if you don't mind recompiling KMM every now then I really recommend installing kmymoney4-devel, since then you're always at the tip of the development. Both versions are stable, if you ask me. My usual procedure before introducing a new git version in the kmymoney4-devel port is to test whether it does what it is supposed to do here on my end (i.e. downloading transactions via HBCI and browsing them in the ledger).
So everyone is invited to use this devel version!

To be on the safe side one can always have a kmymoney4 port deactivated (not uninstalled) in your MacPorts installation. This will allow you to quickly switch back to the latest stable release by deactivating kmymoney4-devel and activating kmymoney4.

And, it's not so much my work, it's the KMM developers'!!! :)
I have been just a little more than a messenger and a rather meager developer in the past. ;)

I have done that on b.k.o. as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312382 and I hope you can cross-check with your findings as well as perhaps comment on it.
