I want to change the password on the wallet that holds the IDs and passwords of my online accounts.
I have poked around on all the drop down menus but can't see anything that might be it. Any suggestions ? thanks |

Isn't that the same password as your user account (login) ?
EDIT: Maybe you cannot change a wallet password. That would defeat the purpose of the wallet. You may have to delete the wallet and create a new one. |

You can change the password of your wallet using the 'KDE Wallet Management Tool'. Right click on the wallet and the re is a 'Change password' menu.

I tried to do that within KmyMoney when the wallet pops up and asks for a password, but nothing happens. Is the KDW Wallet management plugin installed as part of the normal dist, or do I need to install it ? thanks |

Well, the question now is: what is your distro? Are you using a Linux or Windows operating system?

IP, I apologize for not giving all the pertinent info at the beginning. It is a Windows 7 distro. I should have known to mention that. I looked all over my PC looking for something that looked like an executable with kdewallet* but nothing popped out. I am thinking that I might just leave it alone, as if I mess it up, it would not be kewl. |

In that case you need to install kwallet using the same installer that you have used to install kmymoney.
