Hi,

I am trying to add UK Stocks and am having problems (I am UK - Great Britain based):

I have created an investment account and double click to enter the Investment Detail Wizard.

I choose type of investment = 'Stock'

For trading symbol I enter DXNS.L and have checked this under:

http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=DXNS.L

For Full Name I enter 'Dixons Retail', and Trading Currency is 'GBP', and Price Entry is 'Price Per Share'. I leave the other fields blank.

On the next tab I choose online source and have tried both 'Yahoo' and 'Yahoo UK'

Now I get an error:

Unable to Create all objects for the investment

Unknown security 'GBP' during modifySecurity() caugt in /build/buildd/kmymoney-4.6.3/kmymoney/mymoney/storage/mymoneyseqaccessmgr.cpp:1319

I was able to get the quote using Finance::Quote (check the box on the last page of the investment wizard) and simply yahoo. I think you need to install that software separately though. BTW you may also need to set the factor to 100 for this stock.

Many thanks for your help. Strange I have done some more testing and it would not work in Kubuntu 12.10, but it works fine with Yahoo on Ubuntu 12.10 and Linux Mint 14.
