When I started to trade in stocks I changed over from MSMoney to KMYMoney. In the beginning I succeeded to download current stock and currency prices in KMYMoney
Now it doesn't work anymore. Why? I haven't changed anything.
specifications : windows vista home premium, avast! antivirus, KDE release 0.9.9-8, KMyMoney 4.6.2

Error Message shown : The process file for the protocol died unexpectedly Unable to update price for .... (empty quote date)

The only thing that I can think of (if it used to work) is that maybe the antivirus is blocking KIO's network access.

Ok Cristian. And how can I unblock? Which line or command do I have to allow avast to be performed?

Don't know. Can't you temporarily disable (or exit) and try to update the stocks? Another possible issue may be if you're behind a proxy. As a third option you could try to install 4.6.3 and see if that works for you (it can be installed while keeping the old version).

Installed version 4.6.3 of KMyMoney without any result. Excluded websites yahoo.com and finance.yahoo.com in my webshield of avast but without any success.

Further options?

Changed settings of the windows shield. Now it works.

Problem solved for KMyMoney. Making a comparison to Skrooge is not possible. Read somewhere that the costs of buying and selling shares were impossible to be put in??

Unfortunately Skrooge doesn't startup anymore.
How do I delete this and perhaps reinstall?
