According to the KMyMoney Manual, Chapter 22, KMyMoney can connect to a relational database. One is MySQL, which I do have, and could use. But I a would like to know if it would be possible to connect to Base which is the LibreOffice relational database. It uses the HSQL relational database engine. I took a quick peak at the QT software website, but could not discern anything. I was not able to find a list of "SQL Drivers".

It's certainly not tested, so I'd avoid it if possible.

Thanks. I'm still eperimenting, the focus in on how to import "old" stock prices into KMyMoney. Need to covert the data into a CVS format. Looking into using "AWK" as one alternative.

Libre Office Base will work with MYSQL.

To enable the operation it is neccessary to install 'connector' from Synaptic - say libreoffice-mysql-connector.
Once this package is installed use of theHelp screens should get you up and running.
Base will give you useable access to all of the Mysql tables but do not expect miracles from Forms and Reports generated by other software.

The Libre Office forums also offer quite useful support if you do not ask 'plonker' questions.

Good luck!
