The Software is really excellent. The only problem I have had in the UK is that Stock/Share and Unit Trust Prices dont download. The only source that works is Yahoo - to an extent -but no Unit Trust prices. However I have discovered early in any month it will download the US date format and not update prices.Pl ease America adopt our date format!! No other source works they either fail or come back with a zero price. With the new 4.64 release I had hoped at least MSN UK could have been added as a stock price source. It works well on Ace Money ( a friend uses) and Bank Tree. As I say the software is fantastic but it is frustrating to have to update stock prices manually. Any help gratefully received

I am also having problems getting share prices to update from yahoo UK. In the dialog box it is showing the correct price so that is ok but then the process fails saying 'no price or no date'. Hence I assume it is failing to get the date. I have tried changing the date order in the yahoo.uk entry in kmy settings as it was in US order but non of the alternatives have made any difference.
Any help appreciated

If I put the URL into a browser it downloads a csv file. When I open that it has the share symbol in the first column, price in the second, time in the third and then three more columns repeating the symbol. Date doesn't appear anywhere.

You really have to experiment, it took me several attempts before I was able to get all my Stock/Share and Unit Trust Prices to work, in some cases I had to try several different sources or found I was using the wrong symbol.
For reference I'm using the following: FT Funds UK Morningstar UK Yahoo (NOT Yahoo UK) I can't remember if all of these are standard sources supplied with KMyMoney or if I had to create/edit them, here's the list of online sources on my system: ![]() If you have any questions just ask. Nick

Hi
Thanks for your input. In the online quotes setup With all my trial and error I think I have messed up the URL and other stuff on all the sources you mention. If you could let me have the URL, Symbol, Price, Date, Date Format so that I can amend them to the same as yours. I might get somewhere. Even with Yahoo UK its doesn't work. I have to use Yahoo and it uses the US date format irrespective, which at certain times of the month wont work Thanks again |

Here are the settings for the online sources that work for me. As mentioned before I'm using 'Yahoo' and not 'Yahook UK', also I use 'FT Funds UK' and not 'Financial Times UK Funds'.
Ft Funds UK: ![]() Morningstar UK: ![]() Yahoo: ![]() Let me know how you get on.

Hi Nick
Thanks ever so much for this info. I have carefully copied these settings. God alone know what I had done to FT UK Source!. Hitherto all my shares were downloading from Yahoo in US data format. I had that wrong on the source menu as well!. I also have never been able to auto update my Unit trust prices. Now ..it all works. I cant thank you enough superb ![]() ![]() Pete |

Hi Pete
Glad to have helped, it's dangerous to mess with online sources unless you know your regular expressions - always take a backup!!! I agree KMyMoney is a great application, I've been using it for years, and for me it was the "killer app" that convinced me to ditch Windows and move to Linux (and KDE) - I've never looked back. Nick
