Hi there,

I just set up kmymoney. I entered an investment.
Date=1Oct2009, Shares=64000, Price/Share=1.77.
There is just this single buy share activity, and nothing else (dividend, etc) as it is a new setup.

Latest price/share of the investment is 2.16.

On report - investment performance by account,
return of investment is calculated as 22%, which is correct.
annualized return is however reported as 27% which I could not understand. I assume it should be 1.22 ^ 0.25 (~4 years) = 5%?

From the user manual for reference,
Code: Select all
Investment Performance by Account: Shows the annualized performance over any period of time. This performs a cash flow analysis of all money coming into and going out of the account. As a result, this is a very accurate picture of how well your investments are doing.

What was the period for your report? The default is the current year. You have to configure it manually if you want the last four years. Also, I think you need the correct stock price at the start of the period. It may take 1 by default.

Thank you for replying.
The default has been from start of year. After changing it to 4 years before the expected figure (~5%) is shown. ;D
